Renfrewshire North & West MSP Derek Mackay has welcomed the success of the St Columba Church Playgroup Mother & Toddler Group in gaining a £1,800 Awards for All grant from the Big Lottery Fund.

Based in Kilmacolm, St Columba Church Playgroup Mother & Toddler Group will use the funding to upgrade and expand its services and facilities by purchasing new play equipment and library resources.  The group want to provide better amenities for it members, and also increase the number of families using the playgroup.  The project meets the Awards for All outcomes of 'People have better chances in life' and 'People and communities are healthier'.  The grant for £1,800 will fund climbing frame, safety mats, books and book stand.
